A DAY IN KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA

Instead of flying directly back to Manila after our Singapore trip, we fly to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, spend a day there and then fly back to Manila. We did that because we wanted to see the Petronas Tower, have a selfie and share them in various social media haha...

Hello there Social Media, I am in Malaysia
... and because Kuala Lumpur is very near Singapore, a plane ticket could be really cheap we got ours at Airasia for only Php 1,706.72. And of course, the trip would give me another stamp on my passport.

Anyway, we leave Changi IAirport Terminal 1 at exactly 7:45  for an hour flight Kula Lumpur International Airport Terminal 2. As soon as we passed by the Kuala Lumpur Immigration, we exchange our US Dollar to Malaysian Ringgit. We hired a taxi for MYR 80.00 and in less than an hour we arrive in our hotel, Pacific Regency Hotel Suites, finally a little bit of luxury in this trip.

Because we arrived early, we plan of leaving our luggage in the hotel, tour around the city and then come back later to check-in, but the receptionist was like, " I know you are tired from traveling, so I will give you you're room now, which by the way is upgraded" OK, I am not complaining. The hotel is in front of the Menara KL tower and very near to the Petronas Tower too,  perfect location.

Enjoying the luxury of my room
... and my bathroom
... and hey, we have the view of the Petronas Twin Tower
Later that afternoon, we decided to visit the Batu Caves. Batu Cave is one of the most popular Hindu Shrines outside India, dedicated to Lord Murugan. Getting there is easy, from our hotel, we took the monorail to KL Sentral and from there we took the komuter train to Batu Caves.

At the entrance, I was greeted by a gigantic statue of Hindu God Hanuman. There is also a temple and other Statues near the entrance. We walk farther, passed several food vendors, until we  saw the world tallest Statue of Lord Murugan, a Hindu God. To get to the main temple, you have to climb 272 steps of stairs, which is not very easy if you would ask me. Not to mention there are a lot of monkeys which kind of distubing, I had this feeling that they will jump on me and bite me at any moment. A friend from Instagram told me that when they were in Batu Caves, those monkeys throws coconut on them, fortunately that didn't happen to me because that would really hurt so bad.LOL. I don't stay long in the cave because I am not a fan of being inside the cave and I don't like the smell up there.

I just feel the need to have a picture here

This trip would not be  complete without gawking at the most prominent icon in Kuala Lumpur, the Petronas Twin Tower. So we decided to check the grandiose tower after our Batu Caves tour.

The Petronas Twin Tower
Im sure there are a lot of interesting places to see in Kuala Lumpur, I only wish, I have more that a day to spend. The picture below is the Kuala Lumpur Tower, which is located just in front of our hotel.

Our itinerary for our second day in Singpore is Universal Studios, we allotted one whole day for this. LOL.

Excited as we were, we bought our tickets online before we leave Manila, and I've read in some blog that there could be no available tickets on the day of your visit so its best to purchase tickets in advance. We got our ticket for S$74.00 per ticket for a 1-day pass.

New York Street in Universal Studios Singapore
After meeting new friends in New York, we now move on to Sci-Fi City, which for me is the most exciting part of the park solely because of the "Transformers, The Ride". The ride is exciting, it feels like I'm in the real Transformer scene.

This for me is  most exciting part of the park
But Wait I have to have a Selfie No. 7 here.
and Selfie No. 8. With Bumblebee

After a very exciting experience with Sci-Fi City, we are in for another exciting part of the park, the Ancient Egypt. They also have a ride here called "The Revenge of the Mummy" Its a roller coaster in the dark with mummies and fireballs and I think beetles to scare you.

Before the ride, I had a Selfie with this guy for a Selfie No.9
After the ride, I met Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz, Selfie No.10
Moving on, we walk farther to the "Lost World" this is where the Water World is located where you can see death defying stunts, unfortunately they suspended the show the time we were there. Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure is also located in this part of the Park, we were not able to experience the ride because they suspended it as well, I heard because of the lightning, they suspended all outdoor rides, but Im not really sure.
WaterWorld
Next, we move farther to "Far Far Away" where we join Shrek and Princess Fiona in a fairy tale adventure in "Shrek 4-D Adventure"
The Castle of Far Far Away
Finally, we reach the Madagascar, if you like to "move it.. move it.." I mean if you like the movie Madagascar, this is the part of park is for you.

Selfie No. 11 is with Beetlejuice, scary but funny
Selfie No. 12: is with Minions
The following pictures are from the parade.

After our trip to Universal Studios, we went to Chinatown to shop for pasalubong and that ends my two day trip to Singapore. We will be flying to Malaysia early the next morning.

SINGAPORE TRIP | Day 1 - Meeting the MERLION and other sights ofSingapore

We only have two days to tour Singapore, so after we checked-in at Fragrance Hotel - Rose, located in Balestier Road we immediately started our Singapore Tour.

On top our "To-Do-List" is to have a "Selfie" with the Mascot of Singapore, the Merlion. Located at One Fullerton Road near Singapore Central Business District, the Merlion is a statue with the body of a fish and the head of a lion

Selfie with the Merlion
Not very far from the Merlion Park are other Singapore Tourist attraction such as The Esplanade, Singapore Flyer, Singapore Art Science Museum, Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay.

Singapore sightseeing doesn't end as the sun sets, which by the way is late. As impressive as it is by day, Singapore literally shines at night. Most of the landmarks have a complete different look at night.

We ended our first day in Singapore by watching a free light and sound water show in Marina Bay.
