PANAGBENGA FESTIVAL PART II: THE GRAND FLOAT PARADE

We wake  up early the following day (which is a little bit harder because of the weather haha…) for the Grand Float Parade. More than 20 floats participated, the design varies from a traditional Ifugao houses to a more futuristic inspired float. Television Network such as ABS-CBN and GMA with local celebrities also participated in the parade.

This year’s theme is “ A Blooming Odyssey”

PANAGBENGA FESTIVAL PART I: THE GRAND STREET DANCING PARADE

Every February, Baguio City celebrates "Panagbenga Festival" also known as Flower Festival. More than exhibiting the city's creativity, the festival also shows how the city rose from the devastation of the 1990 Luzon earthquake.

Together with some friends, I went to Baguio City to witness the famous festival for the first time. It was also my first time to visit Baguio City.Various activities are lined up every year but the highlight of the festival is the Grand Street Dancing Parade and Grand Float Parade, participated by different public and private sectors.
