TRAVELLING BACK HOME (Spending my Holy week at home)

Every other year, my high school celebrates alumni homecoming and after being away from the school and my high school friends for ten years, attending the celebrations excites the hell out of me. I first plan of going to Vigan for this vacation but its ok because I really miss home and friends back home. And this is an opportunity for me to feature my hometown in this blog and show you what our humble island can offer.

To get there, you could either take a private car (sorry I don’t know the direction) or take a bus ( Raymond Transportation) or van in Legarda, Sampaloc Manila going to Infanta Quezon, ask the driver to drop you off at Real, Quezon (Crossing) where you can get a tricycle to Real port is. The earliest lantsa ( Boat ) that goes to Polillo leaves Real Port at 6:00 in the morning.Travel time is around seven hours: four hours travel from Manila to Real and three hours from Real Port to Polillo Port. It can be very exhausting and a lot can get seasick so better bring your ever reliable “contra byahilo pills”

I call this the Business Class Accomodation :-) :-)

And then I am home…

Wandering in a place I used to explore when I was a kid

Polillo Island has a lot of beautiful beaches to offer and the deal can be as low as free.

This beach is just at the back of our house and its free, plus I can give you
a free accommodation in our house too..:-) :-)
San Francisco Beach in Brgy. Sibulan, I paid 5.00 entrance fee for this
beautiful sunset

Beach in Brgy. Sabang, the deal is free

Agta Beach in Brgy. Kalubakis - Free entrance

Aside from the beach featured above, there are a lot of more beautiful beaches in the Island. Polillo Island also has other attractions to offer to wandering tourists. I plan to feature them here, hopefully soon.

I don't blog about food here and I have no idea what to write but my breakfast at  Sky Lounge Restaurant & Bar located in Vivere Suites Alabang I guess is an experience for me that is worth sharing here, if you don't mind.

BEACH BUMMING IN LAYAG LAYAG BEACH BRGY. PAPAYA, NASUGBU BATANGAS.

Beach always has a special place in my travelling heart, and Layag Layag Beach natural charm easily captured my heart.
That is Layag layag
My sister invited us for a fiesta celebration in Brgy. Papaya Nasugbu Batangas where she is now living with her family. After the fiesta we were treated to a picnic in Layag Layag. The beach is called layag layag by the locals because  there is a rock formation in front of the beach which is shaped like a layag     ( Sail ).It is nestled along the coastline of Barangay Papaya, getting there, you have to take a boat ride from Barangay Papaya.

This is me, brother, 2 sister, niece and brother-in-law

Before going straight to layag layag beach we first had a little Island Hopping tour, where we check out the “Crocodile shaped Island

The head of the crocs ( look at those sleepy eyes )

And we had a glimpse of the beautiful Hamilo Coast. Too bad we were not able to get closer because it is exclusive to the members and guest. (Can anybody invite me there please)

The beautiful Hamilo Coast

And finally we head to our destination, Layag layag Beach and I was awed. The noise of the waves hitting the shoreline, the sand and a very generous sun minus the crowd of most beaches is more than enough to forget the busy life in the metro.

The Beach

Not your ordinary kind of beach

Besides taking pictures of the beauty of nature and enjoying the serenity of this all, what else can we do with this beautiful backdrop? Its pictorial time!!!

And of course have fun....

Cliff Diving
